Robert L. Winspear
Bob is a seasoned executive with extensive financial and operating experience ranging from $30 million private enterprises to $600 million public companies. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, accounting and finance in a variety of industries including building products, distribution, banking, real estate and hedge funds fro
Bob is a seasoned executive with extensive financial and operating experience ranging from $30 million private enterprises to $600 million public companies. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, accounting and finance in a variety of industries including building products, distribution, banking, real estate and hedge funds from both an investment and an operating perspective. Bob is experienced in SEC companies having completed IPOs, debt offerings, tender offers as well as periodic reporting as CFO of public companies.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and an MPA in accounting, Bob began his career in the Dallas office of Arthur Andersen. Bob later joined Associated Materials Inc. as CFO. After completing the successful sale of Associated Materials, Bob formed Winspear Investments in 2002 and has served as CEO or CFO of several portfolio companies.
Bob currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and a director of Blackboxstocks Inc. (Nasdaq:BLBX), a director of VII Peaks Co-Optivist BDC II, Alpha Financial Technologies and EAM Partners. He previously served on the board of Texas Security Bank including the audit committee and the directors loan committee.

Investment Criteria
What we invest in
We focus on middle market private equity investments where we can make add value beyond capital. We are interested in situations that possess the following characteristics:
- Proven and defensible business model
- Strong management team
- Excellent growth opportunities via either organic growth or through strategic acquisitions
- Low to moderate recurring capital expenditures
- EBITDA of $2 million to $10 million
